The "install the base system first" or "install base package first" error message occurs when you try to install Quickoffice using the wrong type of installation file for your device. This usually happens when you try to install a Quickoffice upgrade on a phone that did not come with Quickoffice pre-installed to the ROM of the device.

I have tried so many downloads to my Nokia C5 03 but it was always the same thing: "Install the base package first". Just here I have found the QuickOffice app. working.

Thanks, This aap is an original base package not the upgrade. The apps you are installing previously was just the upgrade of this. And you always need to have basic aap installed on your device to upgrade that one that's why this error comes on account while upgarading. I hope this helps you in understanding the issue.
